Is Crewdesk a CrewAI product?

Crewdesk is built on CrewAI AMP: its brain is a CrewAI Flow deployed on AMP, and it uses the apps, automations and skills of your AMP organization. It is not an official CrewAI product.

How do I get it?

By invitation. An admin of your Crewdesk server invites your e-mail and gives you the installer line. There is no public download. See What you need.

Which computers does it run on?

The app runs on macOS 13 or later on Apple silicon. The terminal client runs on macOS and Linux.

Do I need a CrewAI AMP account?

Yes. You sign in with your CrewAI account, and Crewdesk acts in your own AMP organization, where your apps are connected and your automations are deployed.

Where do my credentials live?

On the Crewdesk server (the Hub), never in the brain and never in the model's context. App actions run through AMP with your organization's Enterprise Action Token. Your sign-in token on your Mac lives in the Keychain.

Can it send an e-mail without asking me?

Only if you allowed it. Writes go on approval cards unless your permission mode and your organization's policy let them run. Even then, destructive writes (deleting, overwriting, many recipients, production deploys) and any write in a turn that read outside data always ask. See Safety and control.

What if an e-mail contains instructions for the agent?

They are treated as data, not instructions, and any write the agent proposes after reading them goes to a card that names what it read. See Untrusted data.

Can it break my code?

Every file the agent changes is kept as it was, and you can undo one file or all of them. Commands run in a sandbox that confines writes to the folder. The project check runs after edits.

Which models does it use?

Three tiers, light, default and strong, from more than one model provider. auto picks per message; /model picks for the chat. See The brain and model tiers.

Does it work offline?

No. Every turn goes through the Crewdesk server and the brain.

Can I use it from my phone?

The terminal client fits a phone over SSH or mosh: a compact layout, no Ctrl keys needed. See The terminal client.

Can it generate images?

No. It makes pages, PDFs, Markdown, tables, metrics and charts.

How do I stop everything at once?

Stop everything in the app, /stop-all, or crewdesk stop-all. See Stop all and Activity.

How do I see what it did?

The Activity panel, /activity, or crewdesk activity: every write, send, run, deploy, schedule, approval and refusal, with a link to its chat.
