The terminal client
crewdesk is Crewdesk in the terminal: a full chat window and a print mode for scripts. It talks to the same server as the app, with the same account, history, tools and rules. The installer sets it up; it also works as crewai desk where the crewai CLI mounts it.
Sign in and chat
sh
crewdesk login # sign in with your CrewAI account (device code), then accept the consent once
crewdesk # chat window, new session, the current folder as the workspace
crewdesk --resume # pick a session to continue
crewdesk sessions # recent sessions; --json for scriptsThe header shows who you are, your AMP organization and where your turns run. A sidebar lists your sessions (Ctrl+B shows or hides it). Replies stream as Markdown; tables are drawn as tables and charts as a one-line summary (the chart itself is in the app).
A proposal shows as a card: a or Enter approves, c or Esc cancels, or type yes / no. Ctrl+C stops the running reply.
Print mode
sh
crewdesk -p "what's on my calendar today?" # reply on stdout, tool rows on stderr
crewdesk -p "a one-page summary as HTML" --save-files ./out
crewdesk -p "run the tests and fix what fails" --allow-commands
crewdesk --resume ID -p yes # answer the proposal that session waits onPrint mode can't ask, so whatever would ask is refused, with one line saying how to allow it. It never approves a proposal by itself: a reply that ends on one exits with code 3.
| Exit code | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 0 | the reply finished |
| 1 | an error (refused, unreachable, or the turn failed) |
| 3 | the reply ends on a proposal waiting for your approval |
| 130 | the turn was stopped |
Works on a phone
Over SSH or mosh on a phone, the window goes compact: no sidebar, a one-line header, no Ctrl keys needed (each has a slash command), and tables that are too wide read as one record per row.
See the CLI reference for every subcommand and flag.
