What you need

An invite

Crewdesk has no public download or sign-up. Access is by invitation: an admin of your Crewdesk server invites your e-mail address, and you sign in with a CrewAI account that uses that e-mail. A different e-mail is refused, with a message that says why (not invited, invite expired, access revoked). Some servers admit a whole e-mail domain without individual invites.

Your admin will also give you the address of your Crewdesk server and the one-line installer that comes from it.

A CrewAI AMP organization

Crewdesk acts in your own CrewAI AMP organization: the one where your apps are connected and your automations are deployed. You link it after signing in. Without it, Crewdesk can still chat, search the web and work on code, but it can't use your apps or automations.

For app actions you also need your Enterprise Action Token for that organization. Crewdesk normally fetches it from AMP with your sign-in; if it can't, you set it once (see Sign in and link AMP).

A computer

ClientRequirements
Crewdesk appmacOS 13 or later on Apple silicon
crewdesk CLImacOS or Linux, Python 3.10 or later (the installer sets up what it needs)

An Intel Mac gets the CLI only. On Linux, commands are sandboxed with bubblewrap where it can run; see Sandbox and secrets.

Optional

  • git credentials if you want Crewdesk to push: it uses your own credential helper or SSH keys and stores no git token. See Working on code.
  • Docker if your project runs with docker compose.

Crewdesk is built on CrewAI AMP. It is not an official CrewAI product.
